Stanthia Nolanda Ryan, MD

Dr. Stanthia Ryan is an OB/GYN who brings both expertise and compassion to women’s health. Inspired early by her mother, a midwife in the Caribbean, Dr. Ryan witnessed firsthand how resourceful care supported healthy pregnancies even in underserved communities. Those early experiences continue to fuel her commitment to reducing disparities and supporting women through every stage of life.

After earning her medical degree at Georgetown University, Dr. Ryan completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her clinical interests include hypertensive disorders in pregnancy, fibroids, endometriosis, abnormal uterine bleeding, and PCOS. She values the principle of cura personalis—care for the whole person—ensuring that each patient feels truly heard and cared for; a principal that melds beautifully with Annandale’s values: Holistic Healthcare, Above the Standard of Care.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Ryan enjoys cooking, biking, and spending time with her husband, young daughter, and their three cats.
