Atish Chopra, MD

Atish Chopra, M.D. is a board certified vascular surgeon and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons practicing in Fort Worth. He attended medical school at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland where he received his medical degree. He was then invited for a visiting vascular surgery research fellowship at Harvard Medical School and studied bypass graft longevity, which culminated in an honorary Bachelor of Medical Science degree. He then moved to Dallas, TX where he completed a general surgery residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center followed by a vascular surgery fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon.  He had been practicing in Salem, Oregon prior to returning to Texas.

Dr. Chopra believes in developing a collaborative relationship between a patient and their surgeon built upon strong trust and shared goals of treatment. He specializes in thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysmal disease and dissections, carotid occlusive disease, limb salvage, diabetic foot ulceration, mesenteric ischemia, and vascular trauma. He has particular interest in minimally invasive vascular surgery and endovascular therapies.

When not caring for his patients, he enjoys sports, traveling and spending time with his family.
